Review of the Best Proform Treadmills

Proform is a leading brand of high-quality treadmills. Proform treadmills are manufactured by ICON health and fitness, and ICON is one of the top manufacturers of treadmills. ICON also manufactures the Nordic Track brand. I will now do a review of the best Proform treadmills, as they provide different levels of treadmills at different prices. They fall into three different categories of treadmills, pro, carbon, and city.

I will look at each of the treadmills that fall within these categories. Then, I will look at the specifications and the pros and cons of each treadmill. In the end, I will give my overall recommendation on what I believe is the best treadmill, but it is up to everyone to judge the cost plus the benefits of each treadmill and what may suit their running intentions. I have also written an article on what is the best home treadmill.

Pro Treadmills

Pro treadmills are the best range of treadmills from Proform. There are two types of pro treadmills, the Pro 2000 and Pro 9000, as Pro treadmills are for both the serious runner and the novice runner as they have a reasonable maximum speed. In addition, these Pro treadmills are one of the few that offer a decline feature that replicates us running downhill.

Pro 2000

Pro 2000 is an excellent, high-spec treadmill.

  • 300lb weight capacity
  • warranty 10-year frame, 2-year parts, 1-year labor.
  • 10in smart HD screen

The Pro 2000 has some advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages

  • cooling fan
  • has an incline and decline setting; not many treadmills simulate running downhill.
  • A large running deck makes it easier to run if you are taller.
  • Good warranty.

Disadvantages

  • expensive
  • 10in screen is maybe a little small, but it will be okay for the majority.

City Treadmills

These are the cheapest of these three ranges of treadmills from proform. These are basic treadmills without bells and whistles, as there is one primary city treadmill offered: the City L6. This treadmill is probably more suited to the less serious runner as it only has a max speed of 8MPH, but it has no incline feature.

  • Bluetooth enabled
  • built-in tablet holder

The City L6 has many advantages and disadvantages

Advantages

  • cheaper
  • good warranty
  • folding deck

Disadvantages

  • small running deck
  • no incline feature
  • low maximum speed

You can have a more detailed look at the Proform City L6 by clicking here.

IFIT

All of the above treadmills come with a free 30-day family subscription to IFIT, and this is an excellent addition to these treadmills, but unfortunately, after 30 days, you will have to pay for it.

IFIT includes

  • Strength training
  • studio classes
  • interactive training
  • scenic locations
  • connected fitness tracking

Overall Recommendations

My overall recommendation if you are interested in buying a Proform treadmill would have to be the Pro 2000 as it has mainly the same features as the Pro 9000, but it costs about 300$ less.

Conclusion

As you have now read my review on each of the proform treadmills where I have highlighted the specification of each model plus the advantages and advantages of each model, and I have also given my overall opinion on which treadmill I would recommend the most.

Depending on what you want to get from your treadmill and how much you are willing to spend will be the deciding factor. I hope you now know better all the Proform range of treadmills.
